This fast-paced course is designed for EMS and highly licensed medical professionals. It is a true “Upgrade” to your existing skills; it will add many more skills to increase your knowledge and experience for practice in a Wilderness/Austere environment where access to other resources is delayed or unavailable.

WEMS Upgrade courses are approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider # CEP17692, for 45 contact hours; as is EMS CE through CAPCE & State of NM EMS Licensing.   Participants include Advanced Practice Providers, Registered Nurses, EMTs/Paramedics, SAR medical leaders, expedition medics, DMAT members, military medics, and those preparing for the WP-C test. Interdisciplinary providers are intentionally mixed during performance tasks to promote future collaboration in the field.  The course will be in beautiful Taos, New Mexico, at 7,000′.
