[accordion] [accordion-item title=”What classes do you have available?”]Visit our “Training” page at https://etsc.llc/courses-schedule/ to see all of our current offerings. We add new courses as training is requested.
While we have some “standard” offerings, we believe that there is no truly “one size fits all” curriculum. Core theory on topics might be the same, but the practical application is what is different. Our training includes a significant amount of hands-on training and we can customize scenarios and simulations to your specific needs.
If you have an idea for a custom course, let us know–we can put it together for you. We have been creating specialized custom curriculum for decades and are happy to accommodate the needs of your organization or group.
[/accordion-item] [accordion-item title=”It looks like you don’t have any open classes–are you even in business?”]Ha! Yes we are. Unlike many training companies we have very few “set” courses. We’ve found that trying to take a “build it and they will come” approach doesn’t work well for anyone. We do offer some courses that are fixed and open, and those are typically a custom request from a group or individual and they have agreed to open it to the public.
A vast majority of our classes are “on demand” and we will work with you to find a schedule that works for YOU!
Find the class you are interested in, click into the details of that course and scroll through the calendar. If you don’t find a date that works for you, contact us and we will work with you to find dates and times that work.
We can accommodate classes sizes from a couple of individuals all the way up to giant mass events that incorporate hundreds of people in large areas (think mass casualty simulations).
[/accordion-item] [accordion-item title=”How come I can’t find bios on your instructors and staff?”]
For good reason. Most “bios” you find on the internet are embellished (if not outright fiction). They are marketing tools created to impress you with someone’s past achievements.
Our philosophy is that we don’t care what our instructors did in the past (although that gets them in the door). What we care about is what they are doing today and how they are continually improving their skills and ability to impart information. You might be the baddest Delta-Recon-SEAL-Ranger-Sniper on the planet, but it doesn’t make you a good teacher. It also doesn’t mean you are still training at that same tempo. We’d rather hire a military cook or mechanic with a passion for firearms that took hundreds of hours of training on their own time, than someone that did one tour with an elite unit, got out, and then hung a shingle. This is not a popularity/fanboi contest.
We require all of our instructors to be DEMONSTRATED subject matter experts in their field, have teaching experience (beyond “I clicked through a powerpoint while reading it to you”), and to be able to play nice with others.
We have all been to classes where the instructor takes the first hour listing out all of the cool places they have been, people they have killed, sheep they have harassed, beverages they have consumed, etc. Cool. But can you get on with what I paid for? Also some instructors might be technical experts but cannot teach those skills. Or might have such an abrasive personality that they detract from the training.
You can find information about each of our instructors online if you really need to–it is out there. If you need resumes for other “reasons” they are available upon request.
[/accordion-item] [accordion-item title=”Why should I take a class from you instead of XYZ Company?”]You come to us for efficient, safe, fun, and informative training. If you don’t leave a classes better prepared than you entered it, we have failed. If the class was a mindless slog where you are checking your watch every 2 minutes, we have failed.
We hope you take classes from both us AND “XYZ Company”. We really do. You should be able to learn something from every class you take. And no one instructor or company has all of the answers. If they claim to be the only training you need, or the ONLY ones training to standard, etc, you should be skeptical.
We will happily recommend our friends, and even competitors, so long as they run a safe class. Better educated humans are a benefit to society and their communities.
[/accordion-item] [accordion-item title=”I need to cancel my booking. How do I do that?”]
Just give us a call at 315.288.0208 (leave a message if someone doesn’t pick up). Otherwise leave a message on the contact form to the right. Please let us know why you are seeking a refund and for what class. We will be happy to help!
[/accordion-item] [accordion-item title=”How do I request a refund?”]We stand behind our material 100%. If you feel that you learned absolutely nothing, we will refund your money. Simply contact us at the form to the right and let us know why.
