Build the essential skills for safe, efficient off-road vehicle recovery in this 8-hour, beginner-friendly course. Whether you’re brand new to off-roading or want to sharpen your recovery fundamentals, this class will give you the knowledge and confidence to handle common stuck-vehicle situations.

You’ll learn how to assess a recovery scenario, select the safest and simplest method, and work effectively as part of a recovery team. While you won’t be ready to lead a crew just yet, you’ll have the foundation to be a reliable, safety-minded team member.

What You’ll Learn:

• Situation Assessment: Evaluate a stuck vehicle and choose the least complex, most effective recovery method.

• Vehicle Dynamics: Understand your vehicle’s capabilities and limitations.

• Recovery Gear: Hands-on review of common and specialized tools, plus their proper uses.

• Self-Recovery Skills: Tips and techniques for when no other vehicle is available.

• Safety Procedures: Spotting, communication, and operational safety during recovery.

Training Format:

A balanced mix of classroom instruction and hands-on demonstrations, led by a professional instructor certified by the International 4-Wheel Drive Trainer’s Association.

Included Gear:

Each student will receive leather work gloves and eye protection for use during the course.
